Youth Empowered to Act (YETA) is a coalition of LGBTQQ and allied youth leaders ages 14-24 working to create safe, supportive, and nondiscriminatory environments for youth through education, organizing and advocacy. YETA is open to new members who are interested in defeating homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and in becoming agents of change in their communities. Every year, this youth group organizes and leads Orange County’s only LGBTQQ youth conference, the OC LGBTQQ Youth Convening. Community events include but are not limited to: speaking at school board meetings, presenting at local youth conferences, hosting a leadership summer program, drag show fundraiser, and attend the national Creating Change Conference.

TCAT is a support group for families and friends of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. For attendees who also have young children, a trans* children and allies playgroup for children 4-13 years of age takes place concurrently; children are not required to be transgender or gender non-conforming. Playgroup is facilitated and supervised by LGBTQ Center OC staff.
