Transgender Legal Assistance Clinic
Name and Gender Change Services:
Join us for our Transgender Name & Gender Marker Legal Clinic, held in collaboration with UCI Law, in a virtual setting. At this clinic, our dedicated legal volunteers will be on hand to offer valuable support and expert guidance in completing the necessary court forms to facilitate the legal change of your name and gender marker. Additionally, if you meet the eligibility criteria, they will also assist you in completing a fee waiver to cover the filing costs, if you qualify. Once the paperwork is completed, it will be reviewed by an attorney to ensure its accuracy. Upon approval, the legal team will ensure that the processed paperwork reaches you within a few weeks. Along with the approved documents, you will receive a “Next Steps” guide, designed to provide clear guidance on the subsequent stages of the filing process. This service is available to residents aged 18 or older and living in Orange County or surrounding areas in California.
