Elevate Youth: A youth leadership group that focuses on mental health advocacy and substance use prevention advocacy through an LGBTQIA-inclusive lens. This group is committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ youth, particularly in the intersections of mental health and substance use. Elevate Youth offers a wide range of events and activities, including the development of educational campaigns that raise awareness on critical issues, as well as offering opportunities for youth leadership and community organizing. The group also prioritizes community-building and education through interactive events that bring together young people to learn, share experiences, and build supportive networks. By focusing on both advocacy and action, Elevate Youth empowers its members to become informed and active participants in their communities, driving forward the conversation on mental health, substance use prevention, and LGBTQIA+ inclusivity. InBetweeners provides a safe and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and allied youth (or “tweens”) ages 10-13. It offers a social space for middle school youth who are exploring their identity and provides an inclusive environment for them to meet other peers and engage in fun activities and discussions suitable for their age group.
